About Bonnie Boo

Bonnie is a darling of a dog: sweet, gentle, loves cuddles, loves toys, loves other dogs. She has great house manners, and wants to be near to her people as much as possible. She loves training with her foster mom, and takes treats with a very soft mouth.

She has a beautiful coat and is in excellent health. No one could hope for a better companion in life!

Bonnie Boo is an honorary Dalmatian. Her former owner believed she was a Dalmatian mix and asked us to take her. Read Bonnie’s story here: https://www.dalrescueillinois.org/2012/02/misery-no-more/

Bonnie has no Dal in her at all. DNA analysis revealed that Bonnie is a true mix of terriers. There are no identifiable purebred parents or grandparents, but only three identifiable “minor” breeds: American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Terrier, and West Highland White Terrier.

Bonnie is deaf, and was most likely born that way, as deafness is not uncommon in Bull Terriers. For more information on deaf dogs, visit The Deaf Dog Education Action Fund.

Bonnie is crate-trained and has the patience of a saint.
